Just over $266,000 is coming to the Town of Hanover from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting the Playtime Casino.

The funding, made as a first quarter payment, goes to host communities and are based on a formula considering the scale of gaming revenue at the site.

OLG says since the gaming site opened in February 2001, the town has received $21.7 million.

Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy says host communities support important community programs and services and strengthen their local infrastructure with these gaming revenues.

“These financial supports help fund the vital programs and services that residents can depend on for their future,” says Bethlenfalvy.
