Gaming Realms CFO: “I’d like to see Slingo as a live game”
Gaming Realms reported a 9.8% year-on-year increase in revenue for the six months to 30 June. Content licensing revenue is up 53% between July and August. Brand licensing revenues fell 82%. The company has a strong pipeline of potential deals. It would like to see Slingo as a live game.
Segal wants to see more Slingo games, especially live dealer games. Sledo is a combination of slots and bingo. It was originally developed in New Jersey and is popular in the US. 55% of the H1 revenue came from North America. The game is gaining popularity in Europe. Some operators are adding dedicated Slingso sections to their sites.
Gaming Realms CFO would like to see Slingo as a live game. Lottery industry is the industry's most widely available segment. The UK National Lotteries only offers scratchcards and draw-based games. Gaming Realms has submitted tenders in Europe and Canada.
Gaming Realms wants to be a multi-product game studio. It has created a side game for blackjack and struck a deal to offer games provider 4thePlayer in the US market. It will be accretive as it will become a bigger studio and offer something different. In North America it increases value to operator clients by providing a wider range of content from one point of access. The third party studio handles the development. it doesn't significantly increase costs.
North America is the main contributor to revenue. Europe is still a growth market. Slingo is only just getting started in Latin America. Bingo as a product has tended to rank highly in LatAm. Gaming Realms has gone through a number of iterations. The current Sledo-led strategy for content is catapulting it further forward.
