Cold Deck is a film about Bobby, an obsessive gambler who lives with his sickly mother, Audrey. Bobby is in a romantic relationship with Kim, a waitress of a gaming establishment. He spends most of his time playing poker. His friend, Ben, suggests that he take part in the lucrative poker tournament. They steal a car and sell it to have enough money for the buy-in.
Lucky Girl is a film made in Canada. It tells the story of Kaitlyn, a high school student who becomes addicted to gambling.
The Last Casino is a 2004 drama film aimed at blackjack fans. It follows the story of a professor who taught three students how to count cards to help him transform $1000 into $35,000 and address his financial issues over nine months. Bill Kaplan, the leader of the team, coached the MIT Blackjack Team. He was barred from casinos in Ontario and Quebec.
Owning Mahowny is a 2003 Canadian film about a bank manager who stole over $10 million from his bank to fund his gambling addiction. The film is very close to the subject matter of addiction but it's not quite accurate. It's a good representation of the man's struggle with addiction, but not of his emotions.
