GambleAware awareness increases in the UK
Last year, GambleAware launched the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS) awareness campaign. The campaign was mainly aimed at men, but also had an arm dedicated to women. According to a spokesperson from paybyphonebillcasino.uk, the campaign will allay some of the concerns about problem gambling.
There is growing concern over problem gambling in the UK. The most recent campaign was given particular emphasis in London and the Midlands. 40% of all male gamblers aged 16-44 in these areas would probably reach out to the National Gambling Helpline if they required help for gambling-related issues.
The National Gambling Treatment Service campaign promotes self-referrals to the National Helpline and online support available via BeGambleAware.org. The campaign is helping to signpost more people to treatment for gambling harms. Gambling is a pandemic, with 38% of high-risk individuals saying they had been gambling more as a result of the pand epidemic in August 2021.
