Full House Resorts and DraftKings at Casino Queen have announced management-level hirings for their respective Illinois-based operations. Full House has taken its first steps towards constructing a temporary casino in Waukegan. John Ferucci will be senior vice president and chief operating officer to oversee The Temporary at American Place.
Ferucci will be the chief operating officer of Full House Resorts. He will oversee construction of American Place in Waukegan and The Temporary in Illinois. Fullhouse is conducting a career fair for positions at The temporary casino on March 15. The permanent casino is expected to open in the summer. It will feature 1,000 slots, 50 table games, three dining options and a bar. Wurkegen is located 40 miles north of Chicago and 20 miles south of the Wisconsin state line. it will have a 20-guest room mansion, a casino with more than 1.600 slot machines, 100 table game, and retail sportsbook.
VanderWeele is general manager of DraftKings at Casino Queen. He arrived in East St. Louis from Las Vegas for the opening in 1993. VanderWee is overseeing the expansion of the sportsbook that began last June. Draft Kings at CQ generated more than $70 million in adjusted gross casino gaming revenue in 2021. It generated close to $5.7 million of casino gambling revenue last January.
