Emperor E Hotel inks deal to continue operations of Macau's satellite casino Grand Emperor

Emperor Entertainment Hotel's subsidiary, Tin Hou Ltd. signed a lucrative three-year agreement with SJM Resorts Ltd to take over the management of the Grand Emperor Hotel. The agreement officially began on January 1st, 2023.

Tin Hou will provide services to SJM in relation to the casino to be operated under SJm's gaming concession. Grand Emperor Hotel will relaunch its operations as a satellite casino and will be 71.63% legally owned by Emperor International Holdings Ltd. Tin Hou is responsible for all operating costs, including: management, decoration and renovation of the gaming areas at the venue, providing gaming equipment in compliance with SJS Resorts’ standards and staff salaries and expenses for the gambling floor. He will also get a percentage share of gross gaming revenue. The financial limits for new three-year agreement are set to HK$100 million for first three months of this year, HK $400 million in the financial year ending in March 2024, HK $600 million for financial years ending March 2025 and HK $700 million till December 2025.

The reopening of Macau’s border and the lifting of quarantine requirement upon arrival will drive an increase in visitation to Macao.

Emperor E Hotel inks deal to continue operations of Macau's satellite casino Grand Emperor. The hotel will receive a steady monthly income from SJM Resorts for the provision of hotel rooms, catering and other ancillary services from 27 June 2022 to 31 December 2022.
