On May 9th, 2023, Eagle Mountain Casino opened its new property at 1850 West Street, off of Highway 65, next to the Porterville Fairgrounds in Porterville, Calif. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the casino’s front entrance.

“We got here. We made it. To my people, I love you. This is just phase 1. Phase 2 is a 250-room hotel, 7-story tower, an additional 29,000 square feet of convention space, and a fire station in the works,” said Neil Peyron, chairman of the Tule River Tribe.

The Tule River Tribe takes pride in the new Eagle Mountain Casino property, as it pays tribute to the history of the Tribe. There are tribal artifacts, artwork, treasures and baskets showcased throughout the entire property.

“We wanted to make this ours,” said Peyron. “We wanted to own it. We wanted to say this is the Tule River Tribe’s facility. You can tell when you walk in and see the basket designs – you see the architecture that’s been put into this building.”

In January, The Tule River Tribe, owners and operators of Eagle Mountain Casino, celebrated their 150th anniversary of sovereignty. The new casino location is another milestone in the Tribe’s storied history.

The new casino property is double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1,750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 2,000-seat state-of-the-art event center.

For the first time, Eagle Mountain Casino now serves alcohol at restaurants and on the gaming floor for guests 21 years old and over. There is full cocktail service throughout the casino floor.

The new property also features a 2,000-seat state-of-the-art event center and will present one English and one Spanish concert monthly. Concerts confirmed include popular Mexican group Los Tigres Del Norte on June 24th and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias on July 7th. Guests must be 21 years old or older to attend the concerts.

New dining options include the Acorn Diner, Cedar Food Court, Yokuts Coffee House, and the award-winning River Steakhouse. The Redwood Taphouse features 208 seats with 24 slot machines in the bar. In addition, 66 TVs are visible throughout the whole restaurant. The Ember Bar wows guests with exquisite details of a Sequoia Tree and, as its name suggests, is the centerpiece of the gaming floor with slot machines at the bar.

The new Legacy Rewards features more rewards than ever, including a unique monthly collection of Continuity Gifts. The first promotion is happening now. The “Grand Money Ball” is every Thursday through June 29. Ten qualified Legacy Rewards members will be drawn to have a chance to win a share of over $280,000 in cash and prizes.

“The opening of this new property is a celebration,” said Matthew Mingrone, general manager at Eagle Mountain Casino. But this is just the beginning. This is not an endzone and certainly not the finish line. It’s another step in a new economic, financial and emotional direction. This new property is about people; Yokuts means “the people.” Those that work for the Tribe are a team because of how the Tribe treats us. We are people with the same goal – to carry on the tradition of hospitality, carry on the tradition of community effort, being together with one common cause of taking care of each other and having fun at the same time.”

Eagle Mountain Casino is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. The casino, which is located at 1850 West Street in Porterville, Calif., off of Highway 65, next to the Porterville Fairgrounds, is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The new property is over 100,000 square feet, with new dining options, 1,750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 2,000-seat state-of-the-art event center. Guests must be 21 years old or older to drink alcohol and play on the gaming floor.
