A Caesars Palace slot jockey has hit the jackpot three times in a row during a single session, netting over $660,000 in the process.

The lucky player first won $125,000 on Dragon Link slots around 9.27pm on Tuesday night in the Las Vegas casino, before going on to win another $383,500 around 10.58pm, Fox 5 Vegas reports.

Not even two hours later they took home their third win of $159,250 at 12.27am on Wednesday morning.

The gambler has reportedly placed a $25 per-line bet on each roll of the slot machine.

The slot jockey won a total of $667,750, according to officials with Caesars Entertainment.

It is likely that a portion of the winnings - 24 per cent - were withheld by the casino for taxes, as required when the jackpot is more than 300 times the bet as it was in this case.

The $660k slot machine win last week comes after another player managed to score an astonishing $1,037,828 on Dragon Link slots in Las Vegas earlier this month.

The gambler was also playing a $25 per-line bet on each roll of the machine on the Palazzo casino floor at The Venetian, according to local media.

The same casino saw another major jackpot taken home by a gambler this month, after a player got a return of $1,635,693 on his $10 bet on a Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Gold machine.

The odds of winning on Dragon Link slots are not signposted on the machine, but in a different game like Powerball, the odds of winning a similar amount are at just 0.000025 per cent.

According to Investopedia, the odds of winning at slot machines range from a one-in-5,000 to one-in-34million change of scoring the jackpot.

In 2023, slot machines brought in $35.51billion in casinos around the US, marking a nearly 4 per cent increase from 2022, Fortune reports.
