iGaming and sports betting operator BetMGMhas announced a partnership with Score Gaming, a specialist in table games and side bets, to launch Double-Up Blackjack. Now available online for the first time, the game is exclusively accessible at BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey.

Double-Up Blackjack alters the traditional blackjack game by allowing players to double their wagers on any 2-card hand, except for a natural blackjack. The additional bet can be any amount up to the original bet's limit. The game employs Score Gaming's proprietary End 16 Rule, which enhances the game by ensuring players can win, but can never lose when the dealer has a 16.

Double-Up Blackjack also introduces the16 Bonus side bet, which pays out when the dealer reaches a total of 16, with payouts varying based on the number of cards used by the dealer, with payouts of up to 500x.

Vice President of Gaming Product Oliver Barlett celebrated the partnership:"Double-Up Blackjack offers a twist on the classic game and adds another layer of excitement for players.Double-Up Blackjack further strengthens the variety of our table game offerings that feature in-house produced titles from Entain, as well as great partners like Score Gaming."

Initially launched in physical casinos in 2012, Double-Up Blackjack is now present in over a third of casinos. Double-Up Blackjack is the first offering from Score Gaming’s suite of End 16 games.

Merril Sparago, Founder and President of Score Gaming, said: “Score Gaming shares in BetMGM’s excitement and looks forward to collaborating with BetMGM to bring a consistent stream of new End 16 content to the online space.”

BetMGM's online casino, which features over 1,500 games and a state-specific exclusive jackpot network, awarded nearly $75 million in jackpots during the first half of 2023. The company is on track to surpass the yearly $100 million jackpot total, a milestone set in 2022.
