BetMGM awarded $138M in progressive jackpots in 2023, up 32% from previous year

iGaming and sports betting operator BetMGM has announced that it awarded over $138 million in progressive jackpots in 2023, a 32% year-over-year increase.
MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury and other slot titles created by Entain for BetMGM and available exclusively at BetMGM’s Online Casino were the source of more than half of the prize total, the operator noted. In Michigan and Pennsylvania, the 10 largest jackpots all were won on in-house-produced games.

BetMGM awarded the largest amount of jackpot prize money in Michigan ($53.2 million), followed by New Jersey ($38.8 million) and Pennsylvania ($34.6 million). Ontario ($6.1 million) and West Virginia ($5.4 million) rounded out the total distributions.

$3 million win on $2 bet a highlight of 2023
In October 2023, a New Jersey player won the second-largest BetMGM jackpot of all time by winning a $3 million jackpot on a $2 bet on Bison Fury at Borgata Online. The player, who chose to remain anonymous, was awarded a VIP Las Vegas experience by BetMGM.
Some of the highlights included a complimentary four-night stay at ARIA Resort & Casino in a two-bedroom suite during New Year’s weekend, a dinner at Jean George’s Steakhouse, a $1,000 gift certificate to Tiffany & Co., and tickets to see Bruno Mars at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM.
"Las Vegas has always been a destination spot to visit because I see it in the movies. It was something I considered, but I never had the opportunity to go. When I won the jackpot, Las Vegas was something I wanted to check off my bucket list. I can’t thank the entire BetMGM team enough for making this trip possible," said the jackpot winner.
