'Bad Beat' gives poker players a chance to win big
There is a chance to get paid a bonus for a tough loss in blackjack.
Poker players can win a bad beat jackpot in the Four Winds Casinos in South Bend, Indiana. Five poker players won $432,342.58 late last month. The players with the two strongest hands receive the lion’s share of the jackpots.
The jackpot was paid at a No Limit Hold’em game. A player from Granger, Indiana won the pot with four 3”s, but another player had a quad in 4“s to take the prize.
The player holding the losing hand of four 3's was rewarded with 50 percent of the pot or $216,171.29. The player who held the winning hand, 4's, received 25 percent or $108,085.64. Three players at the table, all Hoosiers, had losing hands but they still won because of bad beat bonanza. They shared 25% of remaining money or a cool $36,028.55 each.
