It turns out that Aubrey Burchell’s association with “America’s Got Talent” didn’t end in the September semifinals of the NBC show’s Season 17.

The 23-year-old singer from North Huntingdon has been invited to perform in “America’s Got Talent Presents Super Stars Live” at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Burchell is contracted as an on-call performer, to appear as needed throughout the show’s 2023 season.

She’ll be singing The Weeknd’s “Call Out My Name,” the song that wowed the judges during her live audition that aired Aug. 2.

“It’s a pretty special opportunity,” Burchell said. “I’m not an official cast member, which is completely understandable, given that I didn’t make the finals. I’ll be going out throughout the year, whenever they call me.”

Burchell said she’ll receive about a week’s notice that she’ll be needed in Las Vegas.

“I might need to be there for an extended period of time. It could be a weekend, it could be a couple of weeks,” she said.

The show will take care of her flights and lodging.

“Everything they’re doing, paying me, flying me out for just one song, it definitely makes me feel pretty special,” she said. “They got me a special dress that’s dedicated for the performance.”

Burchell said she is looking forward to seeing friends she made during her “AGT” season, including Mervant Vera, a magician-rapper from Philadelphia, and ventriloquist Celia Munoz, who also will be part of the Luxor show.

She also intends to make the most of the opportunity to further her career.

“I definitely feel that this could open a lot more doors, in what I literally feel is the performance capital of the world,” she said. “It will be my goal to branch out in that way.

“I’ll bring my business cards and see what happens.”

In between Las Vegas stints, Burchell said, she’ll keep performing whenever she can around Western Pennsylvania.

Fans can catch her from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 14 at Yough River Brewing Co. in Connellsville.
