1X2 Network to roll out online slots in Greece
1X2 Network has been awarded a license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission. It will allow operators in Greece to access its full games portfolio from its Iron Dog Studios and 1X 2gaming subsidiaries.
1X2 Network has been awarded a license to offer its Branded Megaways game engine to operators in Greece. The company is also planning to expand into other regulated iGaming markets. They are also looking forward to collaborating with more operators to develop their own Megaway-powered games. 1X3 Network is the company that owns the Brands Megaware game. It has a long history of successful business in regulated markets, including Italy, Colombia, Spain, Sweden, Gibraltar, Malta, Isle of Man and UK.
Greece re-regulates online gambling. 15 new licenses were issued on July 5, 2021. They are for sports betting and for games. The licenses run for an initial period of seven years. Licences are priced at €3m (£2.5m/$3.4m) for sport betting, €2m for the games and players must be 21 and older. Online casino games have a max €5,000 slot stake and a jackpot games limit of €50,00.
