Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s ballroom marks its 10th anniversary in October 2021. The ball room opened 10 years ago this week. It has hosted many events, including a sewing convention, a reality show, corporate meetings, mixers, and a tournament. The 10,000-square-foot banquet room features panoramic views of Pittsburgh's skyline, Point State Park, the Ohio River, Mount Washington and the city. There have been weddings, performances, seminars, offsite training sessions and annual meetings in the ballrooms.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh's chefs still hold the Guinness World Record for Largest Pierogi. The pierogi weighed 55.79 kilograms (123 lbs) and was unveiled outside the ballroom on October 8, 2014. Rivers Casino has been hosting events for 10 years. In 2019, Rivers expanded its facility and introduced The Event Center. Construction is underway for The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh. The hotel is expected to open sometime in 2022. Kool & The Gang, KC and The Sunshine Band, and Jay Leno have played there.
